Best place to buy firewood in or around Everett, WA?

Postby jeramy » Wed Nov 11, 2009 4:27 pm

I recently bought a house with a wood stove and with a friend from Florida coming up in Dec want to make sure I have a nice supply of wood handy for cozy fires. Tired of paying $5 for a small bundle. Any recommendations of suppliers around here that will deliver a cord of wood? I saw one called Quality Firewood online and another called Flame On Firewood - reviews on either? And anyone know the average price for a cord?

Don't know the name of the place, but there is someone selling firewood on Highway 99, between 168th and 128th in Everett/Lynwood (maybe at about 160th?) They're on the east side of the road, and you can see the wood they've split stacked up on the property.

They've been there for at least 5 years.

I suggest driving down there, taking a look at what they've got (hard wood vs. softer woods, how long the wood has been seasoned etc.) and you can talk with them about rates and delivery.

Unfortunately, we converted our fireplaces to gas a few years back so I don't have any experience with any of the vendors. But I'd start there because you can meet the people in person, look at the wood they are selling and have more to go on than just a voice on a phone.

If you go to Arlington you can get some. Just pick the Arlington Time, Marysville Globe, or the Everett Herald there is always adds for fire wood. Some times you can even find an add for free wood. But the free wood usual needs to be seasoned, it is still wet. Hope that this will help you..
