yes use a small one, or if you have a garage use a medium size one.

as posted above watch out for bugs.

I store what I am going to burn for the evening inside. It isn't much and if I am not going to burn anything then I keep the wood outside. Bugs like to hide in wood, it is nice and warm to them.

Also, I wouldn't store any firewood close to the house for long periods of time, it will attract termites, carpenter ants and other destructive beasties.

Yes, you can have a firewood rack in the house. Be aware though of any wood that has bugs in it. that you may want to bring in just when you are ready to burn it. firewood does sometimes have a bit of a smell to it, but most people don't find it objectionable.

Your choice but, you will find more bugs in your house since this affords a nice hiding place. I always brought in enough to last the evening I was going to burn. Many bugs burrow into wood for the winter, and come out once brought into the home.

Nobody wants to have to go outside every time they need a block of wood. Most people use a box or bin, but if you don't mind sweeping up bark and chips, why not a rack?
