Wow, someone got 50,000 for re-inventing the 'hay box' - 2 separate boxes with hay round them, outerbox painted dark colour and the sun or ambient temperature cooks the food.

References to their use go back through the centuries through the Napoleonic Wars and back to the English Civil War.

An item of military catering equipment which is still in use in the British Army today.
